What is fitness?
In the search for “fitness,” we must never overlook the bigger picture. Fitness should really only be defined as a subcategory of wellness. In totality wellness is the integration of everyday life. It is a life long process of continually moving forward in order to enhance ones potential. There are seven different aspects of wellness, and only when in balance will one truely achieve “fitness.”

intel Intellectual – Intellectual wellness involves taking part in activity that helps expand our minds. Things such as learning new skills and even reading can contribute to your Intellectual Wellness.
spiritSpiritual – Spiritual wellness involves connecting with the bigger picture of life. This sense of belonging helps increase our consciousness and self worth.
enviromentalEnvironmental – When our surroundings are well cared for we can not help but experience a greater sense of comfort. How we take care of our personal surroundings and possessions dirrectly correlates with our feelings of anxiety and comfort.
social
Social- Relationships play a large part on who we are and how we feel. Social wellness involves building happy, healthy and lasting relationships that can provide us with support during tough times.
emotionsEmotional- How we feel has a direct impact on our perceptions of life. The effects our daily attitude and actions throughout our lives. We must learn to handle our emotions and realize when they have gotten the best of us.
physicalPhysical – Physical wellness involves any activities that support our physical-well being. This includes healthy nutrition, hygiene, exercise as well as relaxation.
occupationalSelf or Occupational- To tie everything together one must find selfworth or ones calling. This includes finding a safe and healthy work environment in one can pursue their goals and dreams.
